Stacia Kane has been a phone psychic, a customer service representative, a bartender, and a movie theater usher, and she thinks that writing is more fun than all of them combined. Sacrificial Magic continues this trend with new mysteries and more character chaos. My hope is Stacia Kane can evolve Chess in future books more than she has done so already. Each book Chess' habits get a little worse and while other aspects of her life might marginally improve she is on a dangerous path.
